Thule began sponsoring Team Lloyds TSB in March 2006. Team Lloyds TSB is a new Elite road racing team based in the UK . The team is made up of 5 strong international riders, a mixture of ex pro riders and young talented overseas riders.
The team will be targeting all the major UK races, as well as racing in France and Belgium throughout the year. Team Lloyds TSB’s main aim for 2006 is the Premier Calendar series in the UK.
The Premier Calendar is a long running series of road races for Elite riders in Britain, which this year, is being televised by cycling.tv and British Eurosport for the first time. The series showcases the sport of Road Racing over a challenging series of events in varied and picturesque parts of the UK.
The latest race in the calendar was the Rutland to Melton CiCLE Classic, which was held on May 14th and saw Lloyds TSB’s Daniel Burt come in 55th. And on May 7th was the Lincoln Grand Prix – team did well, with Martin Ford coming in 29th and Graeme Stone finishing in 60th position.
