Philip Weston receives the Champagne Moment for 2004
from Thule UK's Marketing Manager, Peter Barker. |

The Thule Champagne Moment award for the 2004 season goes to Phillip Weston for his heroic unbeaten century in the C&G Trophy final.
Gloucestershire won their sixth Lord's final in as many years as they brushed Worcestershire aside by eight wickets in the C&G Trophy. Phil Weston overshadowed Vikram Solanki's ton with an unbeaten 110 as Gloucs chased 237 with 37 balls left.
Weston and Craig Spearman (70) put on 141 for the first wicket to set up a repeat of last year's win over Worcs.
Weston, against his former team, and Spearman propelled Gloucestershire to 51-0 after nine overs. He raced to his century off 125 balls with 12 fours and a six, seeing Gloucestershire home with Chris Taylor for a richly deserved win.
Peter Barker, Marketing Manager at Thule said “Gloucester have played fantastically this year – the game against Worcestershire – with Phil’s match winning innings was a great end to a brilliant season”.

In 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2004 Thule sponsored Gloucester's Player of the Month Award, as well as the even more prestigious Champagne Moment - awarded to the pivotal moment in a match, which turned the fortunes of the game and helped changed the outcome in favour of Gloucestershire.
