Gloucestershire Player Steve Kirby has been presented with the Thule Player of the Month (POTM) Award for August.

Steve, a highly competitive right-arm fast bowler at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, was presented with the August Thule Player of the Month award for the first time on Friday after celebrating another successful month with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.

Steve, who is known for his fiery character on field, took 17 Championship wickets throughout the month of August. These have included a 10-wicket match haul as Gloucestershire secured a 70-run win against Essex at Southend, and 2 wickets in the Pro40.

Thule, the world’s largest manufacturer of car roof systems, accessories and roof boxes, sponsor Gloucestershire’s Player of the Month Award. Presenting Steve with August’s trophy, Thule’s Marketing Manager Peter Barker commented: “Thule are delighted to announce Steve Kirby as the player chosen to receive this month’s award.
