Thule’s Marketing Manager Peter Barker presents Alex Gidman with the
Thule Player of the Month Award for August

Gloucestershire Vice-Captain Alex Gidman’s impressive all-round form has earned him August’s Thule Player of the Month Award.

The 25-year-old, showed some great skills this month with an impressive 120 against Leicestershire in the championship and 84 in the Pro 40 game at Derby. Alex has backed up his impressive run tally with some equally solid performances with the ball.

A graduate of the MCC Young Cricketers, Alex’s Gloucestershire debut came in 2002, and his talent was recognised with in 2003 and 2004 by the England Academy. A powerful striker of the ball, and a more than useful medium pacer, Alex achieved a thousand runs in first class cricket last year and was named vice at the start of this season.

Presenting Alex with his trophy, Thule’s Marketing Manager Peter Barker commented: “We are delighted to see Alex win this month’s Thule award - his record during August was exceptional. Alex has made a real mark this season, first with his appointment as vice, and now with some excellent results in both his batting and bowling.”
