The Thule Player of the Month Award for August goes to Malinga Bandara.
Malinga had an outstanding August for Gloucestershire. Since he arrived in the middle of July, the Sri Lankan has made a good impact on the team, bowling exceptionally well and chipping in with the bat. He took 30 1st class wickets in August including 5 for 71 v Middlesex + 70 runs in the 1st innings of that match.
Peter Barker, Marketing Manager of Thule UK said “Malinga has impressed everyone with not only his leg spin but with how hard he hits the ball as well. If he maintains this form until the end of the season, it will go along way towards helping the Gladiators maintain their status in National Cricket League Division One”. |
