Craig Spearman, who has had a fantastic season this year, has won the player of the month award for the third time this campaign. The award was decided following a series of excellent batting displays throughout August – helping to lead Gloucester to victory at the C&G trophy final on Saturday.

In August, Craig scored a century at Lords versus Middlesex, a double hundred (230) against Warwickshire at Edgbaston. In the one day format: 70 in the C&G final plus 60 against Warwickshire.

Peter Barker, Marketing Manager at Thule who sponsor the player of the month award said "Craig has played outstandingly all season, from beating the infamous record of W. G. Grace who made 318 not out against Yorkshire at Cheltenham way back in 1876 to this latest round of high scoring runs."
