‘End to End’ Cycle Ride for Cancer Research

Thule are sponsoring Kevin Peck and his nephew Terry Pyper on their quest to cycle the 940 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End in July 2009, in support of Cancer Research.

Kevin and Terry, both originally from Liverpool, lost Kevin’s mother, Winifred, to cancer in July last year. They have decided to take the trip from one end of the country to the other in memory of her and to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

Kevin and Terry will set off from John O’Groats, the most northerly settlement of mainland Great Britain, on 26th July and are aiming to reach Lands End in Cornwall on 8th August. Thule are sponsoring their mission with two ProRide 591 cycle carriers to transport their bikes.

Father of four and granddad of five, Kevin is 46 years old and lives and works in London. He has taken part in several cycle rides in the past, including the London to Brighton charity ride seven times.

Aged 27, Terry is a father of one and lives in rural Devon where he works for a local building company. Not having a car, Terry is used to cycling everywhere he goes.

In preparation for the ‘End to End’ quest, Kevin and Terry are training throughout the spring to be able to cope with the long ride ahead of them.
